Residential Dumpster FAQ
The capacity depends on the size of the dumpster that you order.
- Our BEST 7YD Heavy Duty Dumpster usually holds around (40-45) 33-gallon trash bags. This Dumpster is reserved for Concrete, Block, Dirt, Sod, and Landscape Waste
- Our BEST 17YD Dumpster usually holds around (100) 33-gallon trash bags
- Our BEST 22YD Dumpster usually holds around (130) 33-gallon trash bags
We limit our dumpster rentals to a maximum of 5 days. Our average customer usually rents for 2-3 days. The rental cost includes the first 24 hours, which allows you plenty of time to dispose of your waste. After the initial 24 hour period a nominal fee of $25 a day is charged for each additional day. This flexibility allows you to chose how long you keep your dumpster up to the maximum of 5 days or 3 days maximum for a Concrete, Dirt & Sod Dumpster.
Liquids, batteries, Hazardous materials, weapons, tanks that contain liquid or gases, are some of the items that can’t go in a BEST Dumpster. Refer to our BEST Dumpsters Acceptable/ Non-Acceptable waste guide HERE.
In order to maintain your safety and those around you we have a strict safety policy against moving, lifting, pushing, pulling or changing the state of the dumpster after it’s been placed for any reason. Violators will be charged a $1000 fine. If you need your dumpster moved for any reason after the initial placement, please call us.
Most of the time we can place your dumpster on the street. Please call your local city, village or town for your local laws and ordinances to see if you need a permit to place a dumpster on the street where you live. If your city, town or village requires a permit please obtain this and have a copy to show the driver when we deliver your dumpster.
If the dumpster contains prohibited items, we may be unable to collect it until the item is removed. Please note that a trip fee (Dry Run) may be applied in such cases. Alternatively, if we unknowingly collect the dumpster with the prohibited item, the Recycling Center/Transfer Station may impose a disposal fee during the dumping and sorting process. A separate charge will be issued to you for any prohibited items that require a hard to handle fee.
